Weight: 6.0oz
Product Condition: New
Up for sale is my version of the UVD Universal Video Driver board created by Mark Data Products in the mid-1980s. I used widely available schematics to enhance the board slightly beyond the boards that are currently available for sale here and on the internet.
This mod board will add Composite Video and Audio out from your TRS-80 Color Computer and TRS-80 Color Computer 2.
This is a self-contained and fully assembled board as pictured above.
The PCB will have double-sided tape under to make it easy to mount inside the casing.
The mod works great alongside the RF adapter, so there is no need to remove it and leave holes.
If you do not feel comfortable installing this on your computer, I also offer installation services to add it to your system.
Color Computer NOT included, for illustration purposes only.
I include the following:
1 self-contained composite mod board ( See pictures )
1 3D printed cut guide to drill holes for RCA.
1 strip of wire long enough for installation
2 gold plated RCA connectors for mono audio and video
Link to step-by-step instructions (emailed to you).
If you have any questions, I am also available by email or Discord to assist in the installation process if the pictures and step-by-step guide is not enough.
You will need the following tools (NOT INCLUDED).
#2 Phillips screw driver
Small Phillips screwdriver
Small flat head screwdriver
needle-nose pliers
Soldering Iron (preferably with a small tip)
Solder sucker / Solder wick
Tin Solder
a TRS-80 Color Computer / Color Computer 2
and possibly a small file.
Oh, and patience most of all.
***Please note that the Color Computer AV modification should only be attempted by a person with adequate soldering skills and equipment. No warranty is expressed or implied.
